Incomputable Futures: A Symposium on Representation, Computation, and Experimental Scholarship brings together scholars and artists whose work directly addresses the intersections of experimental media practice, identity politics and the effects of computational technologies on culture and aesthetics. With this two-day event, sponsored by the Department of Media, Arts and Cultures at Duke University, we aim to highlight work in experimental and interdisciplinary modes that complicate traditional notions of institutional scholarly research in digital culture.
Featuring talks by Zach Blas, Jacob Gaboury, Alexis Pauline Gumbs, and Nora Kahn, a Keynote Address by Luciana Parisi, and performances by Tiara Roxanne and Quran Karriem & Rebecca Uliasz.
