“The Prison-House,” a lecture by Zach Blas

This lecture will take up Fredric Jameson’s writing on “the prison-house of language” to consider algorithmic capture across biometrics, predictive policing, military tactics, and artificial intelligence. Framed as stories and concepts from the prison-house of capture, the lecture features an airport security romance, a killed chatbot, crystal balls, a Nine Inch Nails music video, and a dildo-fountain.
